Seminar 4: Sarah Franklin
Dr. Sarah Franklin will host a seminar with graduate students following her talk on March 18. In the session, we will be discussing her new book, Biological Relatives: IVF, Stem Cells and the Future of Kinship. Dr. Franklin has asked that students read the introduction and, if possible, the first two chapters of book, which are attached.

Seminar 3: Gregg Mitman
Dr. Mitman will meet with graduate students following his public lecture in Stedman Lecture Hall F. Students have been asked to read two articles from his forthcoming collection, edited with Kelley Wilder, Documenting the World: Film, Photography and the Scientific Record. These materials have been distributed by the organizers in a separate email.

Seminar 1: Hans-Jorg Rheinberger
Dr. Rheinberger has agreed to meet with STS graduate students the day before his public lecture. Students have been asked to read “Experimental Systems and Epistemic Things”, the second chapter from his 1997 book, Towards a History of Epistemic Things: Synthesizing Proteins in the Test Tube.
